About this Photograph: The United States Open Trophy. The original trophy, presented in 1895 by the USGA, was destroyed in a fire at the Tam O'Shanter Country Club near Chicago in September 1946. A new trophy was presented by the USGA in 1947. It is housed in the Golf House Museum and Library and a copy is presented to the U.S. Open champion.
