About this Photograph: Tiger Woods approached the final round of the 2005 U.S. Open at Pinehurst six strokes behind 54-hole leader Retief Goosen, but as the day came to a close, Woods was in hot pursuit of a third title. Early in the day, he began charging up the leaderboard as Goosen began to fade. He wound up shooting a 1-under-par 69, with bogeys at 16 and 17 proving costly in his runner-up finish to Michael Campbell. Campbell held on for a two-stroke win over the world's No. 1 player.
