The USGA's Reproduction Process
The USGA's Museum's archival reproductions are made from high-resolution digital photographs and digital scans utilizing the latest state-of-the art digital technology.
The museum staff carefully creates a master match print of every image that has been carefully chosen for this special offering. The match print is then used for each on-demand custom print. This ensures that the museum's reproduction standards, and the integrity of each image, is maintained for both open and limited editions.

Every custom-made reproduction is printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag®, 308 gram archival paper. Founded in 1584, Hahnemühle is one of the oldest paper mill s still producing papers for traditional and digital art. This 100 percent cotton fine art paper enables brilliant reproductions. In addition, it is resistant to fading and has superior archival performance.

The latest generation of pigmented inks are used to assure the ultimate standard of reproduction and archival quality.
After the print cures for 24 hours, it is attached to an acid free foam board using archival materials. An archival acid free mat is custom hand cut to create a precise opening to complement the image. This archival backing material and mat will protect and extend the life of the finished product.
