About this Photograph: Arnold Palmer was perfectly positioned to claim his second U.S. Open title in 1966 at The Olympic Club in San Francisco. It's not often a player loses a seven-shot lead with nine holes to play, but that is what happened to Palmer. Billy Casper caught Palmer and forced an 18-hole playoff the following day. In the playoff, Casper posted a 69 to Palmer's 73 to garner his second U.S. Open title. His next USGA title came at the 1981 U.S. Senior Open.
