About this Photograph: In June of 2008, Torrey Pines became the second municipally owned course to host a U.S. Open, following Bethpage State Park (2002). Torrey Pines, which is situated on a priceless piece of property overlooking the Pacific Ocean, hosted the 1998 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, won by Trevor Immelman. It also annually hosts the PGA Tour's Buick Invitational and the Junior World Championship.
