About this Photograph: Erin Hills Golf Course proved to be such a perfect location for a championship course that the USGA did the unthinkable: it awarded the venue a championship before it even opened. Erin Hills, located 30 miles northwest of Milwaukee, will host the 2008 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship and the 2011 U.S. Amateur. The course was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzon and Dana Fry, with assistance from Ron Whitten.
